What is Mkuu?

This majestic perspective aligns perfectly with the transformative nature of a safari. The other definition of Mkuu also means "chief" or "leader". Meet Jane McCormick
Safari Travel was a dream for me that became a reality in 2018. My experience was incredible as I visited Zambia, Botswana and S. Africa. I knew that I would return and bring others with me as Africa was so magical and different that everyone should see it! In 2022 I made a return, this time I visited Tanzania! I instantly knew this country was special. The wildlife is magnificent and the Plains of the Serengeti offer something so unique and diverse from other locations. The Ngorongoro Crater is a highlight and is in the top 10 of Natural Wonders in the World. There are so many things to see and do but the Great Migration is a highlight and should not be missed! The people of Tanzania are so warm and welcoming that they make it easy for visitors as they are open to sharing their cultures and local customs with us. We have so much fun going on hunts with the Hadzabe Tribe and visiting Maasai villages. We usually spend a day or two immersing ourselves with the locals and enjoy a meal with them!
I've personally picked our lodges and locations to visit and know many of the camp staff where we stay. Our guides are handpicked and have many years of experience. We select a variety of partners, based on our clients needs. Each safari with MKUU is hand-crafted and caters to our guests after lengthy discussions on what to expect.
And that's how MKUU began....with dear friends and friends of friends that want to explore the best of Africa and do it together.
